I’ve been helping nonprofits for 30 years. As a creative advisor, I create brand campaigns to help ignite awareness and reinvigorate financial support. I’ve worked closely with human rights groups, cancer researchers, autism advocates, ocean and wildlife conservators, and those fighting to end human trafficking. Example: Created a viral campaign to fight modern slavery for the nonprofit “Not For Sale.” We asked people if they’d work for free for a day and donate that day’s wages. The outpouring of support was overwhelming. Teachers. Healthcare workers. Baristas. Professional athletes. The ask was simple:“Would you work for free for one day if it meant someone could have a chance to be free for a lifetime?” 90% of the people asked said “Yes.” Many said “Absolutely.”
